Christina Gietema, DVM

Dr. Christina Gietema grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she also played volleyball for the Lady Mocs. She graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Within weeks of graduating from vet school, she moved to Texas to start her veterinary career. Dr. Christina spends her free time going to her son’s many activities, reading, and entertaining all her beloved animal companions. Dr. Christina has two dogs- Annie and Little Tyke, three cats- Millie, Oliver, and Fluffles, and three hermit crabs- Pincher, Pinchy, and Smasher. Dr. Christina’s career goal is to help every pet stay as healthy as possible to keep them with their families as long as possible. She is especially passionate about educating the world that dogs and cats should not ever vomit- not even hairballs! Dr. Christina joined the Premier Vet Care team in 2020 and looks forward to meeting you and getting to know your furry friends!
