Dr. Anna Simmons
Dr. Anna Simmons is a long time animal lover and advocate. In fact, she started rescuing animals at a young age, and her passion for animal care and welfare has only grown over the years. Dr. Anna grew up in Coppell, TX, with her four siblings and their many animals, from fish and rats to dogs and horses. She dreamed of being a vet since a very young age and feels so blessed to have been able to accomplish that dream. Dr. Anna attended The University of Texas at Austin, where she received a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Biology. She spent those college years working at various vet clinics and in animal rescue. She then spent two years working as a vet tech at a clinic in East Dallas. After gaining priceless experience as a tech, Dr. Anna attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, West Indies, followed by a year of clinics at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. Once she experienced a Wisconsin winter, she returned to Texas and spent her time enjoying practicing medicine at a small animal clinic in East Dallas before joining the amazing Premier Vet Care team. Dr. Anna is married to her college sweetheart and together they have five pet kids, including four dogs (Tyli, Ivy, Nala, Coco) and one cat who thinks he is a dog (Pepper Saltzman). She and her husband live in Dallas and love to spend time cooking, hiking, playing volleyball, painting, biking, snuggling their animals, traveling, and reading, among other things. Dr. Anna greatly looks forward to the opportunity to meet you and your pet!

Dr. Jacqueline Shen
Born and raised in Winter Park, Florida, Dr. Jacqueline Shen always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian and pursued every opportunity to work and play with animals even though her parents were allergic to fur! She attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate studies and gained experience with a variety of species (including elephants). Dr. Jacqueline then earned her degree from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, making her a proud double Gator.
While in vet school, Dr. Jacqueline served as an officer for the UF Shelter Medicine Club and the Christian Veterinary Fellowship, with which she went on two veterinary mission trips to the Navajo Nation to work with their beloved animals. Her mission is serving animals and their people by fostering the human-animal bond through veterinary medicine. Knowing that visits to the vet can cause many animals anxiety, Dr. Jacqueline became a certified Fear Free practitioner and is passionate about creating positive experiences for pets and their owners.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her husband, Dan, and their retired racing greyhound named Kingston. They also share their home with a chatty cat named Hermine, whom they “foster failed”/adopted after sheltering her and her three newborn kittens during Hurricane Irma.
